A template is a one-page background image that appears on the bottom layer of your notebook page. Templates are built into the ReMarkable system and can be selected when creating a notebook or selecting one from a notebooks layer menu.

To install new templates, use our app to update your ReMarkable’s template database, making them appear natively.

A digital planner is a multi-page PDF designed for use on the ReMarkable. Unlike templates, digital planners are not proprietary to ReMarkable and can be imported directly using the free ReMarkable app available on their website.

These planners often include hyperlinks for easy navigation and function more like traditional notebooks or journals.
